Day 01: Arrival and transfer to Negombo. Afternoon at leisure. Day 02: After breakfast proceed to Kandy, enroute visiting the elephant orphanage at Pinnawela, which is a home to about 60 elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. Also, accompany the elephants to a river close by to see them having their daily baths. Check in at Citadel hotel. In the afternoon do a city tour of Kandy - the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings. Day 03: After breakfast proceed to Colombo, enroute visiting the botanical gardens in Peradeniya, which was originally the pleasure garden of the royalty. Nearly 4000 species of plants are found in this garden and it is encircled by the Mahaweli river. Check in at your hotel in, Colombo. In the afternoon do a city tour of Colombo observing the old parliament , the residential areas, the BMICH (Bandaranaike memorial international conference hall) and visit fort. Also, visit the ceramics corporation showroom, majestic city shopping complex and the ODEL unlimited dress boutique. Day 04: After breakfast at leisure or option of doing last minute shopping in Colombo.

Evening at leisure. DAY 03: After breakfast proceed to Kandy, enroute visiting the Dambulla Rock Temple, which was built by King Walagambahu in the 1st century BC. Dambulla too is a world heritage site and is the most impressive of Sri Lanka's cave Temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq.mtrs of painted walls and ceilings is the largest area of paintings found in the world. Also, visit a Spice Garden in Matale. Check in at your hotel. Enroute observe the two Water Falls, Devon and St. Clare’s. DAY 06: After breakfast do a city tour of Colombo observing the old Parliament, the residential areas and the BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall) and visit Fort. Overnight stay at your hotel in, Nuwara Eliya. Day 04: After breakfast visit Sita Eliya and thereafter proceed to Hambantota/Kataragama. Enroute do a Safari of the Yala National park by Jeep. Yala is the largest national park in Sri Lanka and is the home of wild elephants, wild boar, wild buffalo, leopard, bear, deer and crocodiles. you can also see large flocks of migratory and indigenous birds. Overnight stay at your hotel in Hambantota / Kataragama. Day 05: After breakfast proceed to Galle and do a city tour of Galle, one time chief port of Ceylon. Galle is famous for handmade lace, tortoise shell curios and ebony elephants. Also, visit the 90 acre Galle fort, which was originally founded by the Portuguese and later extended by the Dutch in 1663. The fort houses many important Dutch buildings including a Dutch period museum. Thereafter proceed to Bentota. Enroute turtle hatchery operated by the wild life protection society of sri lanka. several species of turtle, especially the hawksbill, are endangered; most vulnerable of all are their eggs; which are left uncovered on beaches all around the coast. the goodwill of kosgoda area fishermen, who bring these eggs gratis to the hatchery, has led to the hatching and release of 100,000 young turtles in only two years since the hatchery opened. Check in at your hotel in Bentota for overnight stay. Day 06: Breakfast at hotel. Morning at leisure on the beach. In the evening proceed to Colombo and check in at your hotel.
