The centre has been recognised by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, a nodal agency of the Government of India, overseeing the standards of R&D establishments in India. The centre is also certified for design and development by BVQI for ISO9000-2000 QMS.
The centre has pioneered in the indegeneous development and commercialisation of Sulfochlorination Technology in India. The centre has tied up with national institutes like Indian Institute of Science-Bangalore, Indian Institute of chemical technology-Hyderabad, Indian Institute of Technology-Kharagpur; Central Leather Research Institute-Chennai to develop innovative products for leather industry.
 | The centre has well equipped state of the art instrumentation facilities to support product and process development and well equipped pilot plant for scale up studies. The centre also has well equipped application Development Laboratory to evaluate products besides having well qualified scientists and leather technologists specialising in the areas of organic synthesis, polymer science and formulation science for developing innovative solutions. |
