Our Container Freight Station at Navi Mumbai spreads over 20 acres and will shortly be expanding to 26 acres. The Container Freight Stations at Chennai and Kolkata are spread over 10 acres each. At both these locations expansion is underway with Chennai adding 12 acres and Kolkata 6.5 acres. Our facilities at Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai act as hubs enabling Balmer Lawrie to cater to the demand of traffic in the western, eastern and southern regions of the country.
At all three locations, Balmer Lawrie CFSs are accredited with ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System. Chennai CFS is also accredited with ISO 14001 and ISO 18000.

The company offers value added services, such as, palletisation, shrink wrapping, labelling, re-bagging, repacking, sorting, etc. The company’s work flow is designed on a single widow concept and it offers a “one stop shop” to meet its customers’ EXIM needs.
To enhance customer satisfaction, efficient dedicated personnel are trained in all aspects of the EXIM trade and substantial investments have been made in security and fire fighting systems. The company is in the process of installing CCTV at all its locations. The Balmer Lawrie group offers inland transportation, container repair facilities, supply chain management, etc.
The first operating CFS in Eastern Region, it is strategically situated within 2.5 kms of the Kolkata Dock System. The CFS also has established connectivity with Haldia Dock Complex. It is the first CFS in the Eastern Region to have established EDI connectivity with Customs House with on-line printing facilities.

The state-of-the-art CFS at Nhava Sheva has been developed on a 20 acres plot and is located at a distance of about 10 kms from JN Port. Further, an additional 6 acres area is under development. Well connected, the CFS offers total solutions for handling and storage of containers.
